Ureaka has won the Sustainable Construction and Infrastructure track at Hello Tomorrow 2026, following selection from more than 4,800 applications globally.

The company was recognised for its work developing a carbon negative supplementary cementitious material from waste concrete and captured CO₂.

The cement industry urgently needs new, scalable and consistent alternatives to traditional supplementary cementitious materials such as fly ash and slag. Ureaka’s approach aims to turn one of construction’s largest waste streams into a valuable cement replacement material for the next generation of cement and concrete.

By recovering mineral value from waste concrete and combining it with captured CO₂, Ureaka is developing a pathway that supports lower carbon construction, circular material use and a more resilient supply chain for cement replacement materials.

The win marks a major milestone for Ureaka as the team continues to scale the technology and build partnerships across the cement and concrete value chain.

A huge thank you to the team at Hello Tomorrow, the judges, investors, partners and everyone who took the time to speak with us in Amsterdam.

Ureaka is now focused on progressing validation, strengthening industry partnerships and continuing conversations with cement producers, concrete manufacturers, feedstock suppliers and commercial deployment partners.
